Meet the social work recruitment team at Social Work 2000

The Recruitment Team

Kate Thomson: Kate is team manager and is an experienced consultant. She has been with SocialWork2000 since 2003 and has extensive knowledge of the company and the social work sector. Jo Cockerill: Jo is a Senior Recruiter in the office. She has worked for SocialWork2000 since 2003 and has gained considerable experience within the Social Work Sector. Jo builds excellent working relationships with her locums, many of them having worked for her since she started with the company. Prior to working for SocialWork2000 she ran her own small business whilst bringing up her children and prior to this worked in High Street Recruitment. Jo’s email address is jo@socialwork2000.co.uk

Liza Lever: Liza was welcomed into the team in 2012, she has progressed to a senior role and is currently mentoring the newest member of the team. Liza has built up an impressive portfolio of candidates which continues to grow. Prior to joining SocialWork 2000 Liza worked as a recruitment adviser for Babcock International and prior to that worked in catering management so social work recruitment was a whole new experience for her with lots of new challenges which she thrived on. Charlotte Smith: Charlotte joined the team in April 2015, as the newest member of the team she has completed an excellent induction programme and has attended 2 fantastic training days through APSCo in London. Prior to Charlotte joining SocialWork 2000 she had been travelling Asia and Europe so came to us fully refreshed and full of enthusiasm. Charlotte Measor: Charlotte joined the team in April 2015, having previously worked in the beauty industry as a beauty consultant and makeup artist so recruitment and social work was all very new to her! Charlotte has spent a significant amount of time learning about Social Work as an industry and also the job market. Nikki Mills: Nikki initially joined SocialWork 2000 in 2008 as an administrator, but is now also responsible for all locum safeguarding for SocialWork 2000. Her role is to ensure that safer recruitment standards, as set down by APSCo and the Local Authorities, are achieved and maintained. She does this through regular self audits, external audits and keeping up to date on current legislation and development. In 2014 Nikki assisted SocialWork 2000 in gaining the APSCo compliance+ standard Nikki also supports the recruitment team with administration duties and has regular contact with the locums.
